The League

Golf season may be over, the handicap system might be frozen, and hopefully that frost doesn’t reach the courses — but we’re just getting started!

We’ve brought an entirely new concept to this Golf League. Sure, we could all go out and play standard Better Ball comps, four-man teams, and the usual formats… but where’s the fun in that?

This league keeps the foundation of traditional golf — but with a few exciting TWISTS.

Team Format

There will be four league matches in total, on dates provided. Each Match Will Be hosted at a different Venue.

Each team will consist of four players. Max Handicap is 18 due to the In game purchases. You can still play if your handicap is over 18, you will just be dropped down to 18.

How Matches Are Played

On the day the 4 man teams are split into two Better Ball pairs.

The Better Ball format is best score from the pair, Stableford.

The team’s overall score is calculated by adding both pairs’ Stableford totals together at the end of the round.

The Twist

Here’s where things get really interesting.

Before each round, teams will have the chance to buy in-game “assistance” — tactical aids that can be used strategically around the course to gain an advantage over your opponents.

Use them wisely, though — because your rivals will have access to the same tools!

The In-Game Purchases

Here’s where the fun really begins! Before or during each round, teams can purchase special “on-course assists” to gain an edge over the competition. These can be used strategically — but remember, your opponents might have the same tricks up their sleeves!

Available Purchases:

1. Breakfast Ball – Only applicable on the first tee. (1 per player)

2. Mulligan – Replay any shot, anytime on the course. (1 per Better Ball team)

3. Best Drive – Choose the best drive from your pair, then each play your own ball from there. (1 per Better Ball team)

4. Replay That Shot – Make your opponent replay their last shot. (1 per Better Ball team)

5. Texas Scramble Hole – Play one hole as a Texas Scramble. (1 per Better Ball team)

6. Alternate Shot – Force your opponents to play a hole as Alternate Shot. (1 per Better Ball team)

7. Play from the forward Tees on 1 hole (1 Per BB)

8. Double Points Hole – Double the Stableford points on one hole. (1 per Better Ball team)

These twists are designed to bring a fun, light-hearted element to winter golf. All assists should be used respectfully and in good spirit, with players self-refereeing fairly throughout the match.
